Rotary Club Of Lekki Phase 1 Donates Wheelchairs To Hospitals

As part of its commitment to addressing societal needs, the Rotary Club of Lekki Phase 1 recently donated 20 brand new wheelchairs to two hospitals in Lagos. The recipients were Island Maternity Hospital and the General Hospital in the Central Business District of Broad Street, with each hospital receiving 10 wheelchairs.

6 million Skill Acquisition Project for Five Disabled Youths… 

As part of the activities during his tenure and in fulfillment of this Rotary Year’s theme, “Create Hope,” led by Club President 2023-2024, Hope President, Rtn. Mike Jaga, the club recently officially launched a ₦6 million skills acquisition scheme for five disabled youths at the Friends of The Disabled (FOTD) Vocational Centre in Lagos.

Clean Water for Health Initiative

In February 2019, the Nigeria National Polio Eradication Committee (NPEC) launched a crucial water project under the leadership of Past President Dimeji Ajayi of the Rotary Club of Lekki Phase 1 (2018-2019). This project was a key component of NPEC’s broader mission to not only eradicate polio but also improve community health and wellbeing by providing access to clean and safe water.
